Hated myself in the mirror<\/p>\n

Became socially awkward<\/p>\n

Almost mute, dysfunctional<\/p>\n

Was used as a replacement<\/p>\n

“Toy” was my name<\/p>\n

Objectification<\/p>\n

Destroyed my free spirit<\/p>\n

I ran too fast, too far<\/p>\n

Till I lost myself in the desert<\/p>\n

Plunged into an oasis<\/p>\n

I saw shadows of the demons<\/p>\n

In my nightmares that haunted me<\/p>\n

daily, I wasn’t dead but half asleep<\/p>\n

How I wished a knight would save me<\/p>\n

From the monsters chewing on my flesh<\/p>\n

In my half conscious state, I summoned<\/p>\n

the last remaining will to untie the rock<\/p>\n

on my ankle that was sinking me down into<\/p>\n

the abyss. No one could save me but myself.<\/p>\n

I swam up to shore and rose up as the goddess of love,<\/p>\n

Venus, to humanity – to fill the world with love and beauty in my song and dance.<\/p>\n

In my rebirth, I had chosen dedicate my life to art and serving the community<\/p>\n

like a Vestal Virgin tending to the sacred flame in the temple.<\/p>\n
